Finding Cost-Effective ways to make the Township Greener

Commissioner Verdes believes that every organization and municipality should do its part to address the climate crisis. That’s why in January during the regular Commissioner's meeting he introduced two new green initiatives. These initiatives request the Township and the Environmental Advisory Council explore options and develop plans to present to the board. The first is to develop a proposal to transition a portion of the Township's vehicles to more fuel-efficient hybrid/electric cars. The second is for the Township to explore solar options for our Township buildings. Commissioner Verdes is currently working with other members of the board to find cost-effective ways to implement these initiatives and explore other options to make the township greener.
